Today is the first ever release of our new Travelogue episodes. Sometimes on these journeys round this wide ole world, we find our archives filled with unused footage. I've always got a camera in one hand, microphone in the other, so it's only logical i'd have more than enough moving pictures to share. In this new series i'll share some of the footage and sounds that make up our adventures. You'll see corners of the world you ain't been to, some you have, some you'll be inspired to visit. You might even see yourself. If anything, I hope you'll be entertained, and experience a slice of life in the real world! In this episode, we spent a month following around folk song slinger Josh Okeefe around England, Scotland and Wales back in the summer of '18. Manchester, Newcastle, London, Aberystwyth, Glasgow, Ben Lomond, Cricklade, Northumbria, Brighton we saw a bit of it all. We met Kris Kristofferson at a festival at a royal house, and we met Reg Meuross in a horse stable turned village venue. I saw more sheep than people, was one with the fairies at a woodland gathering, stumbled back to a number of AirBNBs at 4am, and went on a wonderful date in Sheffield. It was my first time, freshly off probation and felonies expunged, i'd had the pleasure of international travel to a foreign land. I can't recommend a trip out of your comfort zone enough. This song is "Keepin me goin" by Josh Okeefe, which you can find online. https://www.joshokeefe.com/ Big thanks to VJ Arizpe and Richard Harmon for making this episode possible. Kristoffer Kristofferson was an American musician, songwriter, and actor. He was a pioneering figure in the outlaw country movement of the 1970s, moving away from the polished Nashville sound and toward a more raw, introspective style. Some of his most famous songs include "Me and Bobby McGee" (1970), "For the Good Times" (1968), "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down" (1969), and "Help Me Make It Through the Night" (1970), which were also recorded by and became hits for other artists.
