On January 24th, 2014, Los Angeles band "Alto" came to UCLA's Advanced Music Recording Class to record a cover of Alex Greenwald's and Blake Mills' unreleased song, "Never Apart," for their upcoming album. The audio used here should NOT be viewed as the final mix or arrangement intended for Alto's album as it is PURELY the work of students in the Recording Class. The students tracked until the wee hours of the morning (you can see a few of them in this video) and spent the rest of the quarter editing and mixing so I thought this would be a cool way to showcase their hard work. It also gave me an excuse to practice video editing. While I regrettably did not get nearly enough footage of all the members of the band, hopefully this gives you some insight into the warm and fun atmosphere they bring into the studio. This was all shot on a Samsung Nexus and a Panasonic Lumix in severely low-light conditions so don't expect the world's greatest visuals. Enjoy!
不會分離 (Pinyin: Bú Huì Fēn Lí; lit. never apart) is Michael Wong's fifth solo album released on 9 November 2007. It consists of a CD and a DVD. The CD is a collection of new songs (except for Track 7 which was previously released as an online single for download).
