Big Joe Turner (May 18, 1911, Kansas City, MO, USA - November 24, 1985, Inglewood, CA, USA) was an American blues shouter. Turner often collaborated with pianist Pete Johnson. In addition he worked with the pianists Art Tatum and Sammy Price and with various small jazz ensembles. He also appeared with Count Basie Orchestra.
