The Only James Jamerson Bass Solo Ever Recorded!!!

Most people know by know that James Jamerson was the bass player on the majority of the early Motown sessions and that he is highly regarded as one of the early innovators of modern bass. He's well known for his playing on Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On?", The Jackson 5's "Darling Dear", The Four Tops "Bernadette", and Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's hits "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and "Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing" along with hundreds more Motown classics. What most people don't know however is that James Jamerson recorded only one bass solo. That solo was played on a track called "Mutiny" on Jr. Walker & The All Stars album "Road Runner" released in 1966. The track is a blues form and has one of the most badass walking basslines you'll ever hear, but Jamerson's solo takes the track to a whole new level.
