We demoed the song but felt we didn’t have enough time to give it the attention it needed, so it was shelved while we moved on to write the A Matter Of Time album. We always knew we could bring out the original idea and watch it flourish into a fully formed Shed Seven classic. We lovingly spent time giving it a makeover and believe the song now shines and fits perfectly alongside some of our biggest hits. The song has the classic ‘can’t live with you, can’t live without you’ sentiment and we felt making it a duet would fit perfectly with the lyrical theme, and would also be another first for us deep into our 30 year career, so we invited the amazing Issy Ferris from Ferris and Sylvester to add her beautiful voice to the track which gives it a yearning, but also vengeful energy.” - Rick Witter, vocalist Lyrics You tell me I’m alive I can’t help but think of reasons why this won’t survive You think we’re happening I can’t help but wonder why I’m risking life and limb You take away the sting In the dark you’re like a lighthouse guide me in Like a lighthouse, guide me in Even though you…. Said we’d never be a match But I’m waiting for the catch We’re all over, it’s over, back on again Still waiting for the catch Then you come back and haunt me You sell me down the line I can’t help but think that you’ll be back again sometime You say we’re happening I don’t know where you end or the point where I begin And you’re trying to keep me keen I can’t help but wonder why she shakes my tambourine Yeah she shakes my tambourine Even though you…. Said we’d never be a match But I’m waiting for the catch We’re all over, it’s over, back on again Still waiting for the catch Then you come back and haunt me (I’m still waiting) Then you come back and haunt me (I’m still waiting) Then you come back and taunt me Every now and again, mostly sometimes Through the clouds you’re a ray of sunshine And if you say we could run into the night I’d be forever chasing your light…. Said we’d never be a match But I’m waiting for the catch We’re all over, it’s over, back on again Still waiting for the catch Then you come back and haunt me (I’m still waiting) Then you come back and haunt me (I’m still waiting) Then you come back and haunt me (I’m still waiting) Yeah there you are to taunt me (I’m still waiting) Through the clouds you’re a ray of sunshine
