Iron Butterfly Headlining HRH-14 Prog Festival - October 19, 2024 Here we are. Fifty five years later. First saw the Iron Butterfly at the Valley Teen Center in Reseda California, 1968. Left the show stunned. Needless to say, the band made some great music... and so here we are, and here I am. As you most all know, we lost Doug this year, and Ron just three years before. A huge loss. Yes, the Butterfly's core members are gone, but the music has not. We think that the music deserves to be heard- and, that the legacy should live on. "There's Magic In The Music". If you haven't already heard, Nancy has brought four superb musicians together. Iron Butterfly will tour again, in fact they are now. Hence, we put together this fun short video clip to introduce the musicians. Why This Song? We once ran a Collective Group Vote on what was the most favorite Iron Butterfly song. Of course "Vida" up there, but it was "Stone Believer" that came in number one. The words that Doug sings in the first verse tell a story, perhaps about himself. The words; "I've been walk'n a long long long time. Came back to hear what you might feel about it". So we have a new band. These four men love Iron Butterfly.
