Mickey Hart fans can tune in to the first in a series of videos featuring Mickey with George Lucas telling stories of their work together, the importance of sound in film, and the power of music. "Episode One" finds George & Mickey "Back to the Big Room" at Lucas' Skywalker Ranch where Hart recorded the Gyuto Monks Tantric Choir and the Dzintars Latvian Choir. These titles were recently re-released as part of the Mickey Hart Collection on Smithsonian Folkways in October, 2011. Both the Folkways and Mickey Hart sites, social media and YouTube pages have featured healthy doses of bonus content including: Mickey and Carlos Santana discussing Babatunde Olatunji, Zakir Hussain on the Stone House Sessions, Prof. Robert Thurman discussing the chants of the Gyuto Monks, timeless images from the "Apocalypse Now Sessions" with Francis Ford Coppola, Airto and Bill Kreutzmann, excerpts and previously unreleased interviews from Mickey's books, "Drumming at the Edge of Magic" and "The Songcatchers."

He and fellow Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann earned the nickname "the rhythm devils".
