Super Furry Animals - Wherever I Lay My Phone (That's My Home) (Astoria 1999)
This Astoria gig in 1999 was filmed by a Japanese Television company, and was then shown in edited form on the Scottish Version of ITV2 (known as S2 at the time). The set will be put up in full in due course. This shows how much the band had developed in the 3 years since the 1996 Astoria show which has already been uploaded in full on my Super Furry Channel. This was their standard set opener at the time, and is sadly missed from their current sets. Enjoy!
About The Band
The Band were a Canadian-American rock band formed in Toronto, Ontario. It consisted of Canadians Rick Danko, Garth Hudson, Richard Manuel and Robbie Robertson and American Levon Helm. The Band's music combined elements of Americana, folk, rock, R&B, jazz and country, which influenced artists including George Harrison, Elton John, the Grateful Dead, Eric Clapton and Wilco.
