"Smoke Signals", February 19 2022 Marc Ford Live at The Stone Church, Newmarket NH Band: Marc Ford: Guitar, Lead vocals Berry Duane Oakley: Bass, vocals Phil Jones: Drums "Smoke Signals" can be found on Marc's 2007 release, 'Weary and Wired' Videography and editing: Seth Miller https://linktr.ee/amoricanseth | https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIyHMmLEf3r0fWTs-NqJU8w Audio: FOH: Dave Dickinson https://stonechurchrocks.com/ ---------- This video, the opening number from the 3rd annual benefit concert for PACH Outreach and the Ayer Masonic Association. The 2022 event was organized by Jim & Michelle Galvin with help from The Stone Church Music Club. The Band: A power trio to be reckoned with! Marc Ford (guitar, lead vocals) is known by many for his incendiary lead guitar work with rock troubadours The Black Crowes, he has worn many hats throughout his storied career. His highly revered solo catalog featuring various backing bands that include some of LA’s Finest session and touring musicians has cemented and showcased his acclaimed songwriting abilities. Whether it was winning an NAACP award for his work with Ben Harper/Blind Boys of Alabama, producing Oscar winner Ryan Bingham or playing/recording with Izzy Stradlin, Gov’t Mule, Widespread Panic, and Heartbreaker Mike Campbell, Marc continues to blaze a unique path while receiving incredible accolades during each step of the way. https://www.instagram.com/themarcford Phil Jones (Drums) started his music career as a member of Crabby Appleton, though he is probably best known for playing on Tom Petty’s smash hit albums 'Full Moon Fever' and 'Wildflowers'. Phil has played with a number of rock and roll legends, including Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phil_Jones_(musician) Berry Duane Oakley (Bass, vocals) comes by rock and roll naturally; he's the son of The Allman Brothers Band’s founding bass player, the late Berry Oakley, and with stepfather Chuck Negron (Three Dog Night), Oakley’s musical calling seemed preordained. Berry is currently a member of The Allman Betts Band, a fitting spot for this prolific musician entering the fourth decade of his career. Some of Berry's previous projects and collaborators include: Robby Krieger, Bloodline (Waylon Krieger, Joe Bonamassa), Blue Floyd, Butch Trucks & the Freight Train Band, and Indigenous Suspects. Berry played on Marc Ford's debut album, 'It's about time'. https://www.allmanbettsband.com/brothers/berry-duane-oakley/ Who this fundraiser was for: PACH Outreach (http://pachoutreach.org) is a volunteer-staffed, non-profit organization that provides food and other needed resources to help Pepperell MA residents get back on their feet during difficult times. The Ayer Masonic Association is a non-profit organization that supports widows of lodge members and members of the local community that need assistance. The organization owns and maintains the facility used to conduct the affairs of CALEB BUTLER LODGE A.F. & A.M. and its members in Ayer MA.
