Country Music Legend Naomi Judd Dead at 76
Fans are mourning the death of one country music's most celebrated performers. Naomi Judd, of the popular mother-daughter duo "The Judds," died at the age of 76. Naomi Judd's daughters Wynonna and Ashley announced in a statement Saturday that they "lost their beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness" and said they are shattered. The Judds were an American country music duo composed of lead vocalist-guitarist Wynonna Judd and her mother Naomi Judd on backup vocals. The duo signed to RCA Records in 1983 and released six studio albums between then and 1991.
