Phil Jamieson Concert March 2023

I have a lot of time for this young man. Lead singer of the very successful band, Grinspoon, he has fallen to the trappings of the industry a couple of times but sought help and walked through his "demons." A few years ago he was interviewed by the iconic presenter Andrew Denton. My mother and I sat spellbound on his every word. It was raw and honest but also redemptive. He has performed at concerts for charities for the mental health of young people and also done long distance motor bike rides from gig to gig across Australia to raise money and awareness for such causes. This was a really uplifting concert at a food and wine festival and the crowd went nuts, in a good way. Note Mikey Webb, the Auslan translator on stage right. He is from Brisbane and translates for government ministers in press conferences. This would be a more exciting change. Look at him go for it. There was also a vibration platform in the middle of the audience area for hearing impaired people to stand on and feel the concert. Phil's latest album , Somebody Else,is really worth getting.
