The Prodigy’s love for the audience in Serbia has reflected in the statement from the band’s founder Liam Howlett: “EXIT is our favourite festival! We were there (in Serbia) when a lot of sh*t went down. They hold us in their hearts as a special bend, and we love the people there.”
The iconic British group and the most influential electro-punk band of all time, The Prodigy, returns after a multi-year break to headline leading European festivals, including EXIT! Considering the band’s deep connection and rich history with the local and regional audience, it is expected that EXIT will be the highlight of their comeback tour!
EXIT is the two-time winner of the “Best Major European Festival” award and is continuously recognized by global music stars, fans, and the media alike.
Held each year at the 18th century colossal Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad in Serbia, EXIT started as a student movement whose massive protests brought down the oppressive regime in Serbia. EXIT became the first mass event to gather people from all over the Balkans after a long decade of divisions.
In 2021, the festival marked its 20th anniversary and went down in history as the first major festival in Europe to take place after the pandemic, with over 180,000 music lovers from more than 70 countries.
