Hurdy gurdy player Gregory Jolivet wrote this almost impossibly happy tune which perfectly matches its name. However, I slipped out of a session at Sidmouth Folk Festival late into the night to record this on the path to Jacob's Ladder with the sea for accompaniment. Filming in the dark didn't exactly work, hence the pictures taken during the week. It's naturally an upbeat kind of tune but I wanted to do make a quieter tribute to fellow Sidmouth campsite steward Paul Maybury, who loved the festival but who sadly lost his battle with cancer before he could get there one last time.
