Raven Lynn Brown

A performance of original poetry and song by Raven Lynn Brown at the Orgasmic Alphabet Orgy writers open stage on May 27, 1997 in the Art Bar of the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto. Raven was my co-host at the Orgy for four years and had been a dedicated weekly regular for a year before that. Earlier on this date I had launched my first book of poetry and in the press release I had invited guests to "come naked". When I performed with my band earlier that evening I had also stripped naked. Raven was the only other performer who accepted my invitation to do the same. I think it is important from a historical perspective that Raven's contribution to a great Toronto reading series be acknowledged, recorded, and shown to the world. All poems and songs in this video were written by Raven Lynn Brown. This video was filmed by Aldo Erdic. This video was edited for this upload by Christian Christian.
