New Music Releases: Father John Misty, Blackberry Smoke, and Rhiannon Giddens This week's New Releases Roundup features editors' picks including Father John Misty's second album, Blackberry Smoke's latest, and Rhiannon Giddens' solo debut! This week's New Releases Roundup highlights new music from Father John Misty, Blackberry Smoke, and Rhiannon Giddens. Father John Misty is the current moniker of former Fleet Foxes drummer Josh Tillman, and his second album, "I Love You, Honeybear," is a concept album that melds his fascinations with country-twinged folk and psychedelic music. He's currently on tour through the winter and spring, and will also make an appearance at Coachella. Atlanta band Blackberry Smoke expands on the southern rock palette of bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers. Their fourth album, Holding All the Roses, was overseen by big-name producer Brendan O'Brien and shows the band shooting for Kings of Leon-esque arena stardom. Under the guidance of famed producer T Bone Burnett, Rhiannon Giddens of Grammy-winning, old-time Americana band Carolina Chocolate Drops, steps out on her own with her solo debut. Tomorrow Is My Turn is a set of songs either written or made famous by female musicians, including Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton and Nina Simone.
