Here we compare the Jake E Lee So Cal made in Mexico Charvel to the Jake E Lee Custom Shop made in the USA. Similarities, differences, etc. USA made has a skunk stripe on the neck, a different string tree, different bridge, narrower fret wire, and a truss rod adjustment at the headstock end of the guitar. Mexican made has no skunk stripe, a heel end truss rod adjustment, a different color, different bridge/nut material. Would I pay $1300 street for the MIM model with the QC issues of the one I received? Absolutely not.
