@gwenstefani - Make Me Like You (TV Performance Edit) Released in 2016, “Make Me Like You” was the second single from Gwen Stefani’s third solo album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like. The upbeat pop/disco track was written by Stefani alongside Justin Tranter, Julia Michaels, Mattias Larsson and Robin Fredriksson, with production from Mattman & Robin. The song became particularly memorable because of its extraordinary music-video launch. Rather than simply performing the song on television, Gwen filmed the entire video live during a four-minute commercial break at the 2016 Grammy Awards, in partnership with Target and directed by longtime collaborator Sophie Muller. It was billed as the first music video created and broadcast live on television. The live production moved Gwen through multiple sets and costume changes, including a hair salon, lounge and roller-skating sequence, all while the clock was running. Even the apparent on-camera fall was planned, with a stunt double used for the tumble. “Make Me Like You” was inspired by Gwen’s new relationship with Blake Shelton, capturing the slightly bewildered excitement of unexpectedly falling for someone after a difficult period in her life.
