"Buzz" by NIKI Out Now! https://niki.lnk.to/Buzz “Nicole” by NIKI Out Now! https://niki.lnk.to/Nicole NIKI merch: https://niki.store [VERSE 1] I can’t lie, it feels nice that you’re calling You sound sad and alone and you’re stalling and for once, I don’t care about what you want, as long as we keep talking (as long as we’re talking) [VERSE 2] I mean, you gotta admit the history’s kind of unmatched Asian Calvinism— we made it out of that Well, whether we’re free of will or predestined, Clearly I’ve not learned my lesson even now Hope He doesn’t strike me down (strike me down) [PRE CHORUS 1] The Goo Goo Dolls are dead to me the way you should be too but you bring them up along with how much I f*****g miss you [CHORUS 1] Maybe I’m just not better than this, I haven’t tried Maybe life’s less romantic when I don’t wanna die You’d think I’d be a fast learner but guess I won’t ever mind crisping up on your backburner [POST] Your backburner Your backburner Your backburner [VERSE 2] It’s pathetic but at least, you are too I don’t know what to do I don’t like anyone except sometimes you And now you’re sounding like a hurt puppy You look ugly when you cry but I’m the one you think to call How do you feel lucky and appalled at the same time? After everything you put me through I somehow still believe in you, oh (I do, I do, I do) [PRE CHORUS 2] but I know in a week or so, you’ll fade away again and I wish that I cared Hey are you still there? Good [CHORUS 2] Maybe I’m just not better than this, I haven’t tried Cause maybe you’ll finally choose me after you’ve had more time I thought I was a fast learner, but guess I won’t ever mind, guess I won’t ever mind Maybe I blame my mother bleeding into my stride Maybe it was my father and his wandering eyes (It’s their fault that) I’ll always be in your corner Cause I don’t feel alive ‘til I’m burning on your backburner [POST] Oh, and I know that it’s sad that I settle for the backburner Oh, guess I won’t ever mind crisping up on your backburner Oh, as long as you still think of me Oh Written by: Nicole Zefanya Produced by: NIKI & Ethan Gruska VIDEO CREDITS: Directed by - Isaac Ravishankara Executive Producer - Doug Klinger, Carlos López Estrada Production Company - Antigravity Academy Supervising Producer - Callie Schuttera Producer - Gabriela Ledesma 1st Assistant Director - Alison Chan Camcorder Operator - Isaac Ravishankara Director of Photography - Drew Bienemann 1st Assistant Camera - Paolo Arriola Chief Lighting Technician - Sam Wilkerson Dolly Grip - Joshua George Grip - Jesse Cairnie Production Designer - Megan Fenton Production Trucking - Parker Smith Transportation - Flynn Nicholls Editor - Henry Kaplan Colorist - Dante Pasquinelli @ Ethos Studio Sound Design & Mix - Isaac Ravishankara Director’s Rep - LAB inc NIKI Hair: Athena Alberto NIKI Makeup: Sinh Vo NIKI Stylist: Katie Qian Follow NIKI http://instagram.com/nikizefanya http://twitter.com/nikizefanya http://facebook.com/nikizefanya https://www.tiktok.com/@niki #NIKI #Backburner #Nicole

About This Footage

The clip page "NIKI - Backburner (Official Music Video)" offers a fascinating glimpse into the creative process of NIKI, an artist known for her introspective and emotionally charged songwriting. What sets this video apart is its unique blend of studio footage and rare insights into NIKI's artistic vision.

As we watch NIKI perform "Backburner" in a dimly lit studio setting, it becomes clear that the song is more than just a catchy tune – it's a deeply personal exploration of relationships, identity, and the complexities of human emotions. The lyrics, which touch on themes of love, heartbreak, and self-doubt, are both poignant and relatable.

One of the most striking aspects of this footage is its raw, unpolished quality. Unlike many music videos that are heavily produced and edited for maximum visual impact, "Backburner" feels refreshingly authentic and spontaneous. We see NIKI's vulnerable side as she pours her heart out on stage, her voice cracking with emotion as she delivers the song's haunting chorus.

The studio setting also provides a glimpse into NIKI's creative process, showcasing the intimate, almost therapeutic quality of music-making. As we watch her perform, it becomes clear that this is not just about entertainment – it's about self-expression and catharsis.

Interestingly, the clip page includes tags such as "Lesson" and "Rare," suggesting that this footage offers a unique insight into NIKI's artistic development. While we can't know for certain what inspired her to write "Backburner," it's clear that this song is a deeply personal reflection on her own experiences and emotions.

In terms of the artist herself, NIKI has been praised for her introspective and emotionally charged songwriting style, which often explores themes of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery. Her music has been compared to that of artists such as Lorde and Billie Eilish, who have also built a reputation for their raw, emotional honesty.

As we watch "Backburner" unfold on screen, it's hard not to be drawn into NIKI's world – a world of pain, vulnerability, and ultimately, hope. The song's themes of love, heartbreak, and self-doubt are universal and timeless, making this footage feel both deeply personal and universally relatable.

Ultimately, the "Backburner" music video is more than just a showcase for NIKI's talent – it's an intimate glimpse into her creative process, a reflection on her own experiences and emotions. As we watch her perform in this dimly lit studio setting, it becomes clear that this is not just about entertainment – it's about connection, vulnerability, and the power of music to heal and transform us.
