Sullivan’s father, is ever present on the new Album ‘Threeways’ with the infusion of brass and keys in many of the songs, including ‘The Piano Player’. “Dad struggles with his dementia, however when he sits at the piano each day, the music comes back to him and he is still there in the moment”. “I’m so proud my Dad, the musician, mentor and someone I love and respect so much, has been immortalised as not only the inspiration for this track, but for the influence he has had on all facets of my life. I just love him. There was always music in the Sullivan household when Australian singer/songwriter Kevin Sullivan was growing up. As one of six children, Kevin’s father would always be playing the piano and singing and encouraging his children to sing as well. This tradition has continued with Kevin and his family band The Sulli-Vans, KJ, Cha Cha and Jet, who all started singing in church and moved on to performing with their Dad all around Australia.
