Bhapang is an old instrument of Indian folk music with a single string. Different types of strings are used in it like nylon, steel etc.. Tension of this string is the main component to produce a delicious sound. In the different states of India, Bhapang is known by different names like In West Bengal by "khamak", in Punjab by "bugchu" etc. Many peoples says this is also a form of Lord Shiva's Damru.
