AAM is often described through the lens of aircraft, but real commercialization will be won through alignment—among operators, OEMs, regulators, and the broader ecosystem. In our discussion with Michael Aumock from Seaplane Asia, one message stood out: harmonization becomes achievable when operators start pulling in the same direction, because it makes the regulator’s job clearer and safer. The conversation also challenged a common assumption - “Air taxis” may not be the first commercial viable and scalable model in many markets.
