WHYY-TV's On Canvas, Shemekia Copeland's "Who Stole My Radio" | On Canvas
On Canvas features Shemekia Copeland Wednesday December 23rd at 8PM on WHYY-TV! Shemekia was first encouraged to sing by her father, the late Texas blues guitar legend, Johnny Clyde Copeland. She would sing onstage with him, but never considered it as a career for herself. Its hard to see why when you see her bring her own blazing brand of the blues to the crowd at Wiggins Waterfront Park for WXPN's XPoNential Music Festival.
