AMAZING GRACE / Caroline Campbell live from Brazil

I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Brazil with Andrea Bocelli a few years ago, and our concert in Aparecida is likely one of my favorite musical memories ever!! Andrea did an entire concert of beautiful, spiritual music on the steps of the Basilica of Aparecida (2nd largest Catholic Church worldwide) free of charge and the audience was apparently 100,000 people... It was broadcast live around the country and I am lucky to enough to have some of the footage! This version of Amazing Grace is extremely important to me.. William Joseph is the arranger and orchestrator - I love his intimate yet cinematic approach to this beloved hymn... we worked together to create it for a filmed concert in Italy, but it didn't make the RAI broadcast (maybe because it was emotional, rather than uplifting?) so I was thrilled when the conductor, Carlo Bernini, asked me to play a couple beautiful solos on the program. I immediately suggested Amazing Grace! Also, the audio mix from the concert was not ideal, as our only dress rehearsal was cancelled due to weather. So this audio is not LIVE!!! I recorded the violin part, listening to my original performance, and the orchestra and choir is created by my brilliant musician friend, Max Karmazyn. Can you believe it?? Technology is amazing..
