'Straight Ahead' Radio Show in association with the 606 Promo Video 29 June 2021

London's renowned live music venue the 606 Club and host David Lewis bring you "Straight Ahead" live every Wednesday evening/Thursday morning between midnight-2am on Solar Radio. The show is all about great jazz from the halcyon days of Blue Note in the 50’s up to and including an eclectic range of contemporary jazz with a focus on upcoming UK artists that will be appearing at the Club. The programme also features interviews with top artists on the UK's flourishing jazz scene and beyond, including Claire Martin, Alex Garnett, Mornington Lockett, Binker Golding, Deschanel Gordon, Georgia Mancio, Tim Garland, Jason Rebello and many other luminaries. This week David is joined by his regular end-of-the-month co-host, singer Jo Harrop. Jo's been working on her debut album so they will chat about that and other news, as well as playing music chosen by Jo. She's put together a cracking list of artists, leading off the brilliant Jamie Cullum. Jamie used to perform at the Six as a young lad, before he became virtually a household name and our affection for him knows no bounds! In addition we'll be hearing music from Hancock, Hargrove, Billie, Ella and other jazz icons, along with UK talent such as Neil Angilley, Heidi Vogel, Alex Western-King and Derek Nash.
