Video: Colonias Espaciales - Artist: Iguana Lovers - Album: Surfing Caos - Director: Pinkirecords, Cardiff 2014 Iguana Lovers, Surfing Caos (new album) The new Iguana Lovers album, Surfing Caos, was presented live on May 21, 2014, with a massive concert along with The Jesus and Mary Chain in Buenos Aires. It was recorded between Buenos Aires, Manchester and Oxford. With the participation of Martyn Walsh (Inspiral Carpets) on bass, Laurence Colbert, ex Ride, on drums and Mark Gardener, Ride's former leader, who also was in charge of mixing and post production at OX4 Sound. Also collaborated Adrián Yanzón on voices, ex Los Pillos and Gabriel Vampi Diederle on tambourine. The history of Iguana Lovers goes as far back as 1990 when they released Universo, their first album, which had a limited run edition in cassette format. Along with big acts, they managed to create a whole new movement within Argentine rock music, with a post-punk sound influenced by bands like The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Stone Roses, Sonic Youth and Ride . Surfing Caos is their new Album. They toured throughout the country (Argentina) and South America, in the early 90's founded the Sonic movement in Buenos Aires. They recorded several albums and EP's and presented live at several festivals and clubs including those memorable shows with New Order and Ian Brown, with Mark Gardener of Ride, with Laurence Colbert of Ride on drums, with Peter Hook and with The Jesus and Mary Chain. The 20th anniversary of Iguana Lovers was celebrated with a big Madchester party in Buenos Aires along with the Manchester band Inspiral Carpets.
