84-Year-Old Mom Hears Recording of Her Original Hymn for the First Time after 39 Years
Virginia Reeves Jones, a mom and homemaker, composed one Christian Hymn entitled "Let Me Be Strong for Jesus" 39 years ago in 1974. A recording of her only song was produced on December 20, 2013 in time for her 84th Birthday. She is unaware that she is listening to her own song for the first time until she recognizes the melody and lyrics. Shelley Scarr (lead vocalist), Gary Gray (produced/arranger) and Scott Jones (bassist/son of composer) recorded and mastered this track in Orange County, California. Happy Birthday Mom! I'm very proud of you and love you so much.
