‘Girls Outtakes’ - Lena Dunham 'Food is Beautiful Starring Lena Dunham, played by Tristan Reid Filmed, Edited, & Directed by Meagan Koleck ‘Girls’ is an American comedy-drama television series created by and starring Lena Dunham and executive produced by Judd Apatow. The series follows the lives of four young women living in New York City. The show's premise and major aspects of the main character—including being cut off financially from her parents, becoming a writer, and making unfortunate decisions—were drawn from Dunham's own life. Lena Duham is an American actress, writer, director, and producer. She is known as the creator, writer, and star of the HBO television series Girls, for which she received several Emmy Award nominations and two Golden Globe Awards. Tristan Reid is a writer, actor, and comedian. Nomi Darling is Tristan Reid’s drag persona. He is the star of ‘The Nomi Darling Show’, ‘Nomi’s Kitchen’, ‘How to Find a Man’, ‘Love and the Fursuit of Happiness’, and ‘Girls Outtakes’. Tristan Reid works with Smoke This Productions, Dump Star Media and is a contributing writer for Finland’s ‘Helsinki Times’. He is a winner of the ‘Pittsburgh Moth StorySLAM’ storytelling contest. Meagan Koleck is a filmmaker, professor, and the Executive Director of Dump Star Media LLC. Koleck participated in Prototype PGH’s 2019 Women’s Work incubator program, has been a film festival judge, and a panelist at Steeltown’s Diversity Institute and the Reel Q Film Festival. Koleck is the reigning Miss Pickle Princess and runner up Camp John Waters Obscene Phone Caller. Koleck has presented her 360-degree video and 3D printing projects at national and statewide conferences such as KINBER and CCUMC. Dump Star Media LLC is an independent media production company founded in 2018 by Meagan Koleck and Alistair McQueen. Dump Star Media creates campy, satirical comedies and produces the work of other independent artists. Dump Star Media contributes to the independent arts community by addressing inequity in the filmmaking industry.
