Joe Perry & Brad Whitford guitarists of Aerosmith performing " Rats in the Cellar "

This video was shot when Aerosmith rocked out before selling out and creating cheesy pop songs ! This video highlights the guitarists in the band playing lead guitar Joe Perry playing rhythm guitar Tom Whitford. Perry & Whitford put on a rock guitar 101 performance ! Aerosmith rocked putting out LPs titled " Get your Wings " " Rocks " " Toys in the Attic " then it was the drugs , fortunes lost to drug addiction. Joe Perry sold his guitars and was living in a boarding house , Steven Tyler was buying heroin on the streets of NYC. Tim Collins stepped up to manage the band making a deal with RUN DMC to collaborate on the hit " Walk this Way " putting Aerosmith back in the public eye. Then Collins had each band member get sober by going into Rehab Steven Tyler was the last to go ! Joe Perry has always been a great guitar player he has his own style which I admire and like ! A few years back I attended a concert with Lenny Kravitz opening for Aerosmith. Lenny Kravitz band included gospel singers , his amazing lead guitarist Craig Ross they performed so well they blew the boys from Boston off the the stage !
