Travis Orbin - Spastic Ink Cover/Interpretation

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ink_Complete So there I was, with all of my most recent pressing obligations met (session work and otherwise) and a mere 60 hours left until I fly to Florida to mix 'Finite II' when I thought, "Maybe I should cover that Spastic Ink tune that I transcribed years ago." "Suspended on All Fours" is from SI's debut album 'Ink Complete'. It features freakish, heroic performances from a trio comprised of the Jarzombek brothers and Pete Perez on bass. I purchased this ten or eleven years ago and loved it instantly. The second album is great too, but there's a vibe with this one along with a continuity factor that I really dig. This floats very slightly between 119 and 120 BPM, so I made a custom click; the tempi are noted in the transcription. I am highly dubious in believing this wasn't tracked to a click, so I'm sure it's just a discrepancy in metronome latencies between twenty years, lulz. This vid marks the debut of some relatively new gear, even though I've already tracked plenty of stuff with it. I upgraded my AD/DA converters, jumped up to Pro Tools HD 12, and bought a slew of new plug-ins. My drums have never sounded better. I also grabbed a GoPro HERO5 Black and changed up my camera angles.
