THE GODFATHER.... Dedicated to Imperial Fan Barrelhouse Chuck.... R.I.P It has now been 3 years since we have lost Chuck, "arguably" the greatest Master Winwood Fan of all time... He literally had a whole basement reserved for Imperial Material, having all the possible pressings of SDG, Traffic, SOLO, Session Works.. etc... He has met Master Winwood several times who has been a major influence... I am releasing his version of "Kansas City" which was also covered by Master Winwood in 1965.....wonder where Chuck got the idea to cover this one :) Born Harvey Charles Goering, Chuck had become a legendary Blues Piano man in Chicago on his own right. He has studied under the legendary Masters of the Chicago Blues, such as Pinetop Perkins, Sunnyland Slim, and Little Brother Montgomery to a name a few, and recorded with the likes of Master Sumlin, Master Guy and others... He was a purist who left us an impeccable musical legacy... Most of all, he was an overall gentleman, a very nice person. R.I.P Enjoy Loud and Remember...
