Bob Welch was an American singer-songwriter best known for his contributions to the rock band Fleetwood Mac and his solo career in the late 70s. Though forgotten by most these days, Welch made an undeniable impact on Rock Music and without him, Fleetwood Mac would have never survived long enough to become the stuff of Rumours. Robert Lawrence Welch Jr. (August 31, 1945 – June 7, 2012) was an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter who was a member of Fleetwood Mac from 1971 to 1974. He had a successful solo career in the late 1970s. His singles included "Hot Love, Cold World", "Ebony Eyes", "Precious Love", "Hypnotized", and his signature song, "Sentimental Lady".
