Dave Loggins - "Breeze"
I started jimsradiomusic to allow me to bring back great but overlooked songs that I feel deserve to be heard again. "Breeze" by Dave Loggins is such a song. Loggins is best known for his self-penned 1974 Top 5 classic "Please Come To Boston". In addition, in 1984, he had a Number 1 Country hit with "Nobody Loves Me Like You Do" as a duet with Anne Murray. Also, he wrote "Pieces Of April" which was a Top 20 hit for Three Dog Night in 1973, and he was voted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1995. In 1977, his incredibly wonderful album "One Way Ticket To Paradise" was ignored by his record company who put all their promotional effort behind the Billy Joel classic, "The Stranger", which was released about the same time. This beautiful ballad, "Breeze", taken from that LP, is a poignant tune about a struggling musician who discovers true love with a girl as they find compatibility together. It was never released as a single. Please enjoy this wonderfully sweet tune, and Dave's heartwrenching and agonizing vocal. Please share the link.
