The high energy celebrity-driven altered reality series, Hollywood Rocks - HR, written by Mike Pinera, legendary lead guitarist, singer from, BLUES IMAGE, IRON BUTTERFLY, ALICE COOPERS SPECIAL FORCES, other well known groups, revolves around a group of musicians, some well-known, some forgotten, from the classic rock era and others who are trying to make it big for the first time. We take a peek at them writing new songs, recording them and trying them out in front of some of the most jaded audiences ever at world-famous Hollywood Nightclubs on Sunset Strip, all in the same day.
Pinera has captured the essence of the rock music scene, the bright side and the darkest, without resorting to offensive content. Amidst the usual predators, con-men, groupies, wanna-be's and drug dealers, who feed on those who do what they love and love what they do, we partake in rare, one of a kind music performances, viewer-voted jam sessions and road stories told by rock and blues legends.
Viewers at home with webcams interact with the music stars via video chats while those with musical talent could be selected to be part of the jams.
Based on a true story, the combination of performances by top rock stars of now and then, of tomorrow, jamming together, mixed in with an altered reality storyline running through it all, results in a wacky, exciting, close and personal look behind the scenes of the multi-billion dollar entertainment industry that is....Rock N' Roll.
