This is a song I have been covering for over two decades that was first shown to me by my great friend and fellow musician, Ron Boyer of Fort Worth, TX. He and I played this song together for many years, and I began performing a solo version of the song when I moved to Denver in 2007. It is a beautiful love song written amid the protest music of the late 1960s and bringing in that feeling that now may be the only time we have to express ourselves to those we love. This time also has that mood - that things are up in the air, that tomorrow may not come, that the world has gone crazy, that life is spiraling around us - and I feel this song is very appropriate. Not only that, it helps to remind me of what is important when I feel lost in the chaos. I hope you enjoy it! R.E.M. was noted for Buck's arpeggiated "jangle" guitar playing; Stipe's distinctive vocal style, unique stage presence, and cryptic lyrics; Mills's countermelodic bass lines and backing vocals; and Berry's tight, economical drumming. In the early 1990s, other alternative rock acts suc...
