I held Rio's hand as she passed over to the other side...and that gave me comfort and strength...just knowing that although I couldn't save her I was with her to the end. This is a rough take of the undercurrent song in the new Unlucky Fried Kitten musical about Amy Winehouse. If you know my work with UFK you'll know that I only ever do one take when recording. That's the punk in me. I always want it to sound like it would when played live...so there are errors and there's a fair few raw notes. Don't care. The dodgy tambo at the beginning was not me...it was the cats. The theme....well....it always struck me as sad that Amy died alone...with nobody to comfort her...but in spirit her mother was holding her hand as she passed over.
