She also shares that she’s already sitting on around 50 new songs and plans to return to the studio later in the year to begin work on her next project. Darling opens up about her creative process, explaining that she often lets ideas sit before fully developing them, preferring to write when inspiration feels genuine rather than under pressure to finish a song in one day. Reflecting on her 15-year career, she notes how her sound has evolved from the dreamy orchestral feel of Dream Country to the folky harmonies of Canyon and expresses excitement for her next musical chapter. Currently touring the UK with Ward Thomas, she’s enjoying reconnecting with old friends on stage and looks ahead to more touring in 2025 and beyond.
