Rare appearance on WVUA-TV, taped at Reese Phifer Hall at the University of Alabama 05 April 1994. Alabama Acoustics was a 15-minute TV show produced by the university's public-access channel, which usually featured sappy dolts who liked to strum insipid love songs on acoustic guitars in their dorm-rooms. But one day in 1994 they ran out of sappy dolts and they gave Conspiracy A-Go-Go a call. This is what resulted. Conspiracy A-Go-Go were a crazy, hapless, garage-a-delic rock'n'roll band from Tuscaloosa, Alabama who made some weird noises from 1993 to 1996. CAGG played most of their shows at a strange little bar called The Chukker, which was rather conveniently located next door to their rehearsal space. CAGG was the result of several disparate creative influences coming together in a musical experiment that seemed to generate more audience-appreciation than the band expected, and they had a reputation for following their own muses and be damned what the rest of the music scene thought. When people asked what CAGG sounded like, the answer was usually 'somewhere between Bo Diddley and Iggy Pop.'
