Saturday night headliner Alex Cuba gives concert-goers an acoustic pre-concert taste with bass player David Marion and percussionist Max Senitt at Hornby Island Community Hall's outdoor stage. An "Art in Unusual Places" Festival 'free view". Alex Cuba—Latin Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter-guitarist—has pioneered his own Latin Soul Rock genre. He has been compared to pop icons Jimi Hendrix (Miami Herald) and Marvin Gaye (Boston Globe), but creates his own unique sound. Crowning his three award-winning albums, Cuba received a Grammy in 2010 for Best New Latin Artist.
