THE BREEZIN' ALL-STARS & THE 100.7 FM HORNS - I Thought I'd Never See You Again

Many moons ago, when I was doing the Morning Show at WBZN, (Breezin'), I used to listen to Working Week's original version of this song in the production room every morning. I would listen to it over and over again.......both before, and following my morning "medication", lol. And I thought just how cool it would be to put together a radio station band, (almost all of the DJs played instruments, sang, or could bang two sticks together) and make this the band's "Encore" number. I had visions of smoke filling the air, (via dry ice), and the horn section walking out just at that moment when they "take over" the song. Unfortunately, the radio station's budget did not allow for such assorted sundries. It was suggested that the Sales staff stand off-stage smoking cigarettes and blowing the smoke onto the stage. The band shut that idea down! Regardless, after running the idea of the band past the GM and a few others, the Breezin' All-Stars & The 100.7 FM Horns was born. This "performance" is live and was performed in the Sales Office of WBZN, Milwaukee. All of the air staff possessed musical skills and I coerced several local jazz artists to "fill in the gaps". We also recorded this song for broadcast purposes at Milwaukee's Mauer Brothers Studio, and if anyone has a copy of the studio version....I'd love a copy. Enjoy! ***Breezin' All-Stars Logo designed by Ken Matthews.***
