I recently found this footage taken back in September of 2008 when Rome In A Day was recording our debut full-length album, 'From HereAfter' with Kevin Gutierrez at Assembly Line Studios. The audio from the finished recording (released May 2009) is superimposed on top of the track. It's interesting to follow the evolution of a song through the recording process. In the video, I play straight through the beginning of the first and second verses, whereas in the final recording you can hear those parts were stylistically omitted in post-production. I'm not sure how much (if any) of this take was used for the final version, as I remember doing a few takes and some of the fills are clearly different.
