Ragged But Right --- Jerry Lee Lewis ( Knox Phillips Sessions)
"Ragged But Right" is a traditional song that is well over 100 years old. it has been done in many different ways and it was George Jones who had the first version I ever heard.. recorded here in Texas and released in 1956. As far as a version by Jerry Lee Lewis, this is it... Ragged But Right... it's the term we could use to describe this version. It was done in the middle 70s and these were studio 'doodles' from a musical genius! The Knox Phillips Sessions were released on CD in 2014 and I hoped that after Knox passed away that they would unearth more, but the more we heard was poor quality.
