YTV - Obscure Canadian Lost Media - "Ronnie 'N The Browns" (?) - 1993

Fragment of the Canadian youth channel YTV dated circa 1993 pulled from a very degraded tape. Appears to be lost media. Thanks to @eSPy86 from the YTV Archives Discord for identifying it as possibly being “Ronnie 'n The Browns”: “It's a CJOH Ottawa production. Aired on YTV between September 16, 1990 and February 26, 1993. The show starred Ronnie Prophet and The Family Brown with different guest performances each episode.” This appears to be lost media. If anyone can identify the band, let me know! Some newspaper clips provided by @eSPy86 : "Ronnie 'N The Browns to air next year Ronnie Prophet sends news of a new country music show slated for next year titled Ronnie `N The Browns. The series will be taped in Ottawa Jan. 5 through 11, two shows per night and will go to air sometime in March. There will be a Canadian guest on every episode. No information as to what network or television show will be handling the series. Prophet and Glory -Anne, along with the Family Brown, are currently touring the Canadian military with dates in Goose Bay, Alert, Yellowknife and Masett. The group will cover abot 10,000 air miles in a Hercules aircraft." Country series CJOH returns to a tried and true formula beginning Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Ronnie 'N' The Browns, which replaces Homegrown Cafe, is a country music series featuring big-name guest stars which the station hopes to syndicate or sell to The Nashville Network. Not unlike The Family Brownm which CJOH produced for 13 years. The shows, hosted by Ronnie Prophet and The Family Brown, are taped live before an audience the Nepean Centrepointe Theatre, usually in one take without the usual stopping, reassembling and starting that is part of the standard variety show. Producer Ron Sparling says the idea is to give the series immediacy, more of the feeling of a concert than a set program. Presumably it's also cheaper. And it certainly doesn't lend itself to innovation. The series is pretty much what you'd expect it to be, polished but unimaginative, relying on the enthusiasm of country music fans to make it a success. - Ottawa Citizen - 3 February 1990 After a brief respite from the TV show scene, Family Brown returned with a fourth show in 1990-91, this time teaming up with fellow Canadian Country Hall Of Famer Ronnie Prophet for a series entitled Ronnie ‘n The Browns. The show was taped at CJOH studios and at the newly-opened Centrepointe Theatre, and again featured a mix of Canadian and Nashville special guests, including such stalwarts as Johnny Rodriguez, Jo-El Sonnier, Janie Fricke, etc.
