==============[↘Click "Show More" For Information↓]============== Selected Exerts from the "Eddie Mack The Complete Recordings 1947-1952" CD, 2001 (Track 22/26) Eddie Mack (Last Hour Blues*/ Seven Days Blues?) (SEM-4205) (runtime: 3 minutes, 4 seconds) Vcl with George Kelly, ts; Dave McRae, bar; Kelly Owens, p; Mickey Baker, gtr; Grachan Moncour, sbs; Bobby Donaldson, dms; ensemble vcl -1. (New York City, 9 June 1952) (Writer: Brunner) Eddie Mack was a lesser known artist and his breakthrough came when he became a regular member of cootie william's unit, to replace eddie "cleanhead" vinson who had left to go out on his own. Little is known about eddie Mack (real name Mack Edmundson or Edmondson), but songwriter Doc Pomus remembered him as part of the Brooklyn blues scene of the late 1940's and early 1950's which centered around the club 'Baby Grand' where Redd Foxx was the MC and Pete Brown's Brooklyn Blues Blowers held Stable. Session producer Lee Magid remembered Eddie Mack as "a baldheaded, husky guy form brooklyn. He had good diction, too; not the guy you would think of as a blues shouter". Eddie Mack also mad recordings under the PIGMEAT PETERSON pseudonym (probably for contractual reasons) with members of the Lucky Millinder unit. Reputedly Eddie Mack was a singer and did not play an instrument. ---- I do NOT own the copyright to this recording. This video is for historical and educational purposes.

R.E.M. was noted for Buck's arpeggiated "jangle" guitar playing; Stipe's distinctive vocal style, unique stage presence, and cryptic lyrics; Mills's countermelodic bass lines and backing vocals; and Berry's tight, economical drumming. In the early 1990s, other alternative rock acts suc...
