Metalcore/post-hardcore behemoths, Underoath, transform noise, aggression, and atmosphere into weapons of survival, with spirited singalong-inducing hooks to spare. Some bands will burn the candle at both ends, chasing the past, but Underoath's collaborative chemistry keeps them moving forward towards new sonic horizons. They're one of those rare bands that can boast two gold albums and their three Grammy Award nominations without having to make commercial compromises. Renowned for their unrelenting integrity and authenticity, whenever Underoath has a chance to play it safe, the band chooses to challenge themselves instead. Since its inception, Underoath has redefined the balance between chaos and harmony. Each release includes compositions born from creative tension that transform into iconoclastic anthems. 'They’re Only Chasing Safety' (2004) was a watershed moment for the band, influencing a generation of bands. 'Define the Great Line' (2006) pushed the boundaries further, sharpening their dual vocal approach, heavy breakdowns, and atmospheric edge. The ambitiously experimental 'Lost in the Sound of Separation' (2008) was a creative milestone, elevating Underoath to a level of their own. 'Ø (Disambiguation)' (2010) delved deeper into emotional darkness without sacrificing memorable hooks. 'Erase Me' (2018) reintroduced Underoath to the world with straightforward riffs and melodies, and was followed by 'Voyeurist' (2022), an album the band describes as "high-def violence." Bringing us to 2025 and the release of Underoath’s opus, ‘‘The Place After This One.’ A powerful new missive, Spencer Chamberlain, Tim McTague, Aaron Gillespie, Chris Dudley, and Grant Brandell filled ‘The Place After This One’ with emotional courage and unrivaled bombast. Gillespie, who co-founded the group's earliest incarnation as a teen, sees ‘The Place After This One’ as the start of the next 20-year chapter. It represents a true musical tour de force, standing as a testament to the band’s resilience and unwavering commitment to their creative vision. Playing selections from 'The Place After This One' and 'Define the Great Line', Underoath's From Nothing session owns the space between huge choruses and raw, yet innovative heaviness. On From Nothing, Underoath delivers confessional vulnerability with thrilling force and cinematic grandiosity. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to witness a band, whose influence can be heard in the generations of bands who followed in their footsteps, bring the heart of their sound to life in our studio.
