Woodrose began in a small basement in the spring of 2008. They play their music through a common love for the old fashioned blues, 60s psychedelia, early doom and the progressive scenes of UK and Germany in the 70s. The band consists of two guitars, bass, drums and a baritone blues vocal. Their lyrics touch upon the themes of mythology, insanity and eastern culture whilst also staying true to the traditional themes of sex, drugs and rock n roll. Since their beginning, the band has managed to create a decent repertoire of songs, varying from short hard rock explosions to improvisational jams and longer epic tales of mind and soul. Leaf Hound are an English hard rock band that formed in 1970 out of the heavy blues rock band Black Cat Bones. Their 1971 debut album Growers of Mushroom is cited as a mixture of heavy metal, hard rock, psychedelic rock and stoner rock, and influenced those genres.
