Gwen Stefani and No Doubt ‘will not announce a world tour’ despite reunion as singer ‘doesn’t like Gwen Stefani and No Doubt ‘will not announce a world tour’ despite reunion as singer ‘doesn’t like to be on the road’ GWEN Stefani will not be taking No Doubt back on the road for a major world tour despite their upcoming reunion gig, a source has told The U.S. Sun. Fans of the beloved rock band are looking forward to their first performance together in almost 10 years at Coachella music festival in April. But those hoping it will lead to a global tour are likely to be disappointed because frontwoman Gwen does not like being on the road, a music industry says. The insider revealed, "I'm sure they will play more shows after Coachella but the idea of a full blown world tour is still a bit of a pipe dream for fans who have followed Gwen forever. “Gwen - and there's really no band without Gwen - is not a road dog who likes to spend months and months at a time on the road, and she doesn't feel pressure to do so, either. “She still makes a fortune from her years of No Doubt recordings and her songs from those days are on the radio all the time." “The Coachella reunion is more about making headlines and re-asserting the band's catalogue for a new generation," the source shared. “It's not a cash grab, it's about maximizing the bang for the buck.” Even though a world tour may not be in the cards, mom-of-three Gwen has been keeping busy of late. The three-time Grammy Award-winner performed live on New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas and will also be headlining a pregame show ahead of the Super Bowl in Sin City next month. The U.S. Sun’s source said, “Gwen still looks and moves like a 25 year old onstage. She is a born performer. “It's just not something she likes to do five nights in a week if she can avoid it.” 'WHAT IS COACHELLA, MOM?' Gwen revealed in an interview with People magazine this week that she had to explain No Doubt to her youngest son. She said it came after her son Apollo, nine, who she shares with ex Gavin Rossdale, asked about the band and Coachella. Gwen explained, “I had to literally lay in bed with Apollo and he’s like, ‘But mom, what is Coachella? Everyone’s saying it. What is this? It sounds like it’s a big deal.’” The Just A Girl singer said Apollo’s curiosity about her musical past made her realize how long it's been since No Doubt last played together. Gwen also also explained that the proposal to get the band back together for the concert had been an “easy yes”. She said, “It just happened so fast, and that's my favorite kind of thing to happen. “We haven't really figured out the next steps of how we're going to do this, but we're just all so excited. “And I think really just watching the internet blow up [with] how excited that the fans are? It's inspiring us.” No Doubt was first formed in 1986 by Gwen and her brother Eric, who left the band in 1995, and John Spence, who died by suicide in 1987. Gwen and Eric were later joined by her ex-boyfriend bassist Tony Kanal, 53, drummer Adrian Young, 54, and guitarist Tom Dumont, 56, before putting out their first album in 1992. #gwenstefani #entertainment
