"The Wonder of You," written by Baker Knight, was released In 1959 by Ray Peterson and also Ronnie Hilton, and later The Platters and The Sandpipers. It was a regular part of Elvis Presley's set list in 1970s; he recorded a live version in Las Vegas in 1970 and released it as a single.

He was both the lead singer and songwriter of country music band the Mavericks, co-writing many of their singles, as well as Rick Trevino's 2003 single "In My Dreams".
