Jack The Lad - Pet Shop Boys
Jack The Lad by Pet Shop Boys. Not rare. But very good. It was originally on the B-side of the 12" version of 'Suburbia', although I do have another copy on the 7" gatefold release of Suburbia which is where this art work is taken from. It's a 2 disc 7" vinyl with 5 tracks on: Suburbia; Paninaro; Love Comes Quickly [Shep Petibone Remix]; Jack The Lad; Suburbia part 2. Can you believe you can get all these quality tracks on a 7" release? Brilliant...
About Jack the Lad
Jack the Lad were a British folk rock group from North East England formed in 1973 by three former members of Lindisfarne, the most successful band of the period from the region. They moved from the progressive folk rock of Lindisfarne into much more traditional folk music territory and were, in the mid-1970, something of a northern counterpart to bands like Fairport Convention. They have also been seen as part of an important roots movement, rediscovering traditional Northumbrian music.
