Gerard D'Angelo- Caravan Live at Birdland, NYC with Strings
This performance of Caravan is from a gig I did at Birdland, NYC, in 2014. It was so much fun working with this great band, which featured Anat Cohen on clarinet and the great percussionist Pedrito Martinez. It was an amazing personal experience for me to hear these arrangements come to life with a string quartet, which is a rare opportuniy. The arrangement on Caravan was done by the great Richie DeRosa, who also conducted that night.
