~ A little known band based in san francisco after moving up from los angeles in early '69...quite a pedigree for one group member too....they were : bobby arlin(robert savage)-guitar-vocals/don parish-bass-vocals with tommy richards-drums....arlin had a single out as 'bob arlin & his band' - east L.A./pearl of my heart olympia records 1960, the a-side of which was written by john orvis of 'smoke' who we featured a day or so back on the channel....later issuing 'mushroom machine part one-part two' on tiki records '66....he was also a member of 'the leaves' of hey joe fame and later when he departed that group led 'the hook'...moving to san francisco early '69 they played as robert savage or robert savage band gaining a good reputation for loud heavy psych rock...this track 'save us from the cyclops' is to be found on their debut album 'the adventures of robert savage vol.1' paramount records 1971...a fine mix of of heavy psychy rock with plenty of great lead guitar work from arlin....produced by keith olsen from the los angles garage band the music machine of 'talk talk' fame...not much info i'm afraid but a live tape has surfaced from the kabuki theatre on new years eve 1970 and finds the band on fine form...
